Artist: The David Abbott Family

“This album is dedicated to my wife and sweetheart of 47 years, Darcy Abbott. I first saw her when I was 15 and she was 11: she was playing the Hammond organ for the Bible college choir in Stockton, CA. When we married in ’71, she brought her beautiful music into our family. Although she is often in the background, not in the spotlight, she has selflessly given of her talents for all these years. Many of the featured songs on this album are her original compositions. Thank you, My Love."

-David L Abbott

The Singing Abbotts

Go Ahead And Sing
Denae Joy Abbott, September 2016, Ontario, CA
Vocals by Denae Joy Abbott, Judah Abbott, Levi and Hanna Foster
This song probably won’t move you to tears, but it may get stuck in your head and cheer you up when you’re going through a difficult situation.  I wrote it while my Dad was in a rehab hospital recovering from a broken leg, and it sure helped me! Just like Paul and Silas, go ahead and sing in your midnight hour!

Don’t Ever Quit Singing That Song
Denae Joy Abbott, July 2017, Sacramento, CA
Vocals by Denae Joy Abbott
Songbook hymns don’t belong on a shelf somewhere, looked upon as a relic from the past…their messages are just as fresh and meaningful as the day they were written.  “They’re precious gems, those old-time hymns; don’t throw them away!”

Jesus Can Make You Whole
Denae Joy Abbott, October 2016, Ontario, CA
Vocals by Denae Joy Abbott, Andrew and Devi Foster

Through It All
Andrae Crouch

I Am Blessed
Denae Joy Abbott, March 2015, Metairie, LA
Vocals by Denae Joy Abbott
I wrote this several years ago, but it has just recently become very meaningful to me.  My Dad had two heart attacks, 7 stents put in, his aortic valve replaced, and a pacemaker installed in December 2017 and January 2018.  It was a very scary, trying time for our family.  This song kind of sustained me, lifted me up to a place of trust in our Savior. The Lord brought us through, and we are so thankful.  But, I knew no matter what the outcome, Jesus would be the Rock I could stand on. I am blessed.

Ain’t No Rock!
Denae Joy Abbott, November 2017, Scottsdale, AZ
Vocals by Denae Joy, Perry Colemon and Tania Hancheroff

Red Letter Edition
Denae Joy Abbott, March 2017, Sulphur, LA
Vocals by Denae Joy Abbott
This song is my testimony, for it was a clear picture of Calvary that brought me to my knees. The Greatest Message ever presented to the world was given without words. Jesus said, “I love you,” with his own blood.

Nobody Wants To Be In The Valley
Denae Joy Abbott, October 2014, Scottsdale, AZ
Vocals by Denae Joy Abbott, Perry Colemon and Tania Hancheroff
This song was inspired by a message my cousin, Seth Cleveland, preached. I love you, Seth, Alyssa and Londyn!

When He Says Peace
Denae Joy Abbott, September 2017, Tiberius, Israel, Alberton, P.E.I. (Wow! Is that cool, or what?)
Vocals by Denae Joy Abbott
While on a dream-come-true Israel trip, my father and I stayed in a hotel right by the Sea of Galilee. I was not sleeping well due to jet lag, and the inspiration for this song came to me. Being in a boat on the Sea of Galilee was one of the most beautiful and peaceful experiences of my life - to be where our Lord walked on the water and calmed the winds and waves. What a comfort to know that Jesus still has all power over every storm we face!

Not Until The Blood
Denae Joy Abbott, March 2013, Scottsdale, AZ
Vocals by Denae Joy and Darcy Abbott, Andrew and Devi Foster
I dedicate this song to Bro. Ray Brown, pastor in Avondale AZ; “There Is a Fountain” happens to be his favorite song!

Goin’ Up Yonder
Charles Creath, 3rd verse by Denae Joy Abbott

There’s No Turning Back
Denae Joy Abbott, February 2017, Caribbean Sea
Vocals by Denae Joy Abbott, Andrew and Devi Foster
“Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls….” - Jeremiah 6:16
Jesus is coming soon: there’s no turning back for me!
